Description

The SN74HCT125N by Texas Instruments is a high speed CMOS quadruple bus buffer gate designed for 4.5V to 5.5V operating voltage ranges. This integrated circuit features four independent line drivers with 3-state outputs, which allows multiple signal lines to share the same bus without interference. When the output enable input is held high, the corresponding output is placed in a high impedance state, effectively disconnecting it from the bus line. When output enable is held low, the device passes data directly from the input to the output.

A major advantage of the 74HCT family is its TTL voltage compatible inputs, making it an excellent interface component for connecting lower voltage legacy TTL logic systems to higher speed CMOS networks. The device is packaged in a standard 14 pin dual in line format, which is ideal for easy through hole breadboard prototyping and reliable PCB assembly.
